Jami Broom Bio:
I am a writer living in Puerto Rico with my 19-year-old cat, Flora Jean. She’s my rock.
I write mainly creative nonfiction involving self-reflection, nature, travels, my struggle with misophonia, yoga/self-realization, world religions, and yogic philosophy.
I grew up in Appalachia, have lived mainly in Pittsburgh, PA, Washington DC, and reside in the foothills of El Yunque National Rainforest in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
I often travel to southern India, where I study Ashtanga yoga and hold a teaching authorization (Level I) from Sharath Yoga Centre. This authorization is a blessing to teach the primary series of Ashtanga yoga from my teacher, Paramaguru Sharath Jois.
In addition to writing, I am an internet marketing consultant, founder, and principal at Click Strategies. I am also a co-founder of Together Puerto Rico, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides disaster relief.
