I am a creative nonfiction writer. I naively think confronting controversy will someday bring about world peace. Some people laugh at my jokes. Others back away slowly. And a few turn and run.
I suffer from a severe form of misophonia and don’t know what to do about it. Nobody does.
I live with an 18-year-old cat, Flora Jean. She’s my rock.

Jami Broom writes creative nonfiction involving her mishaps and misunderstandings, nature, current events, misophonia and other mental illnesses, the struggle for enlightenment, and yogic philosophy.
Ms. Broom is an entrepreneur and owner of Click Strategies, an SEO and Internet Marketing firm. She is also the founder of Together Puerto Rico, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides disaster relief. Ms. Broom holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
Jami grew up in Appalachia, has lived mostly in Pittsburgh, PA, Washington DC, and currently resides in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. She travels often to southern India, where she studies Ashtanga yoga and holds a teaching authorization (Level I) from Sharath Yoga Centre.
